CDI Marine Company and its entire CDIM
Team are extremely proud to be part of NAVSEA’s SEAPORTe Team.
In 2002, the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) promulgated
Seapower 21. It provides a framework to align, organize and integrate the
U.S. Navy to meet the wide variety of challenges that lie ahead. The CNO called
upon the entire Navy, including Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and the
Warfare Centers (WCs), to find ways to become more efficient and effective.
SeaPort Enhanced (SEAPORT-e) makes electronic procurement of
Engineering, Technical and Programmatic support services at NAVSEA's Warfare
Center community a reality. SEAPORT-e extends the current procurement
vehicle, SeaPort, by leveraging SeaPort's successful business model and
efficiencies. The integration of SeaPort and SEAPORT-e emphasizes NAVSEA's
strong commitment to customers and industry partners alike. Together,
SeaPort and SEAPORT-e will help NAVSEA reduce costs and promote business
efficiencies in the effort to lead the Navy on a successful course. The CDIM
Team is READY do what is necessary to make this Vision a Reality.
The CDI Marine Company is part of CDI Engineering Solutions, a
division of CDI Corporation that employs a large pool of over 3300 engineers and
technicians serving the marine defense, aerospace, pharmaceutical Process and
Industrial, and Life Sciences industries. CDIM is one of the largest engineering
technical services companies in the USA providing support to industry and
government sectors with a very wide range of services, from clerical, design and
CAD drafting support to advanced computational hydrodynamics, prototyping,
RTD&E and combat-systems engineering services covering virtually all
functional areas required of the solicitation. The personnel grades and
corresponding labor rates that support this spectrum of service at CDIM is
therefore very wide and offers a unique opportunity for staffing programs and
tasks with the most cost effective mix of skill sets and labor rates.
The CDIM
Team includes three CDI Divisions and Twenty-one Teammates. A
carefully selected team of subcontractors was formed to complement CDIM’s
capabilities to effectively and economically meet the total needs of all Warfare
Centers. These Teammates all bring unique expertise that can be brought to
bear on Navy needs. They have a long history of outstanding performance
and a proven record of working and communicating effectively with the CDI Marine
Company.
In response to Seapower 21, one step to increase efficiency was
to group the Naval Surface Warfare Centers (NSWC) and the Naval Undersea Warfare
Centers (NUWC) into seven Geographic Zones. The CDIM
Team has a strong presence in all seven Zones.
Further, the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) and the Naval
Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) have aligned to provide seamless integrated
support for twelve core Product Area Directorates. The product areas are
lead by Product Area Directors that notionally are very small planning and
oversight offices. The day-to-day project management, planning, staffing
and project execution will be provided by the geographically diverse NSWC and
NUWC Divisions. These twelve core Product Areas were parsed into
twenty-one Functional Areas. The CDIM
Team has a strong capability in all twenty-one Functional Areas.

Team encourages you to visit our Website and get a sense of our commitment

BEST in the World.
